Chennai-based Sriguru Chandrikananda Samiti religious trust on Monday donated Rs. 1 crore to the TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Veda Parirakshana Trust. A demand draft for the amount was handed over to TTD Executive Officer D. Sambasiva Rao.
Founder and chairman of the trust K. Venkatesan, who made the contribution, urged the TTD authorities to utilise the amount towards promotion of Vedic education, enlightenment of the masses in leading a purposeful and peaceful life besides taking up required initiatives for the dissemination of the invaluable knowledge embedded in the Vedas.
